The Government of the Republic of Armenia, by Resolution No. 4 of January 8, 2026, has announced training sessions for reservists of the first and second ranks of the first group of reservists, non-commissioned officers and officers, during 2026.
According to the Law “On Military Service and the Status of Servicemen”, a citizen in the Republic of Armenia is obliged to report to his military registration body based on the relevant notification of the military commissariat within the framework of the training camp.
“Armenpress”the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia informs about this, warning that non-appearance by a citizen called to the training camp leads to criminal liability.
In particular, part 1 of Article 462 of the Criminal Code stipulates criminal responsibility for avoiding the declared training camp, if it is manifested by a person’s violation of the duty to appear at the military commissariat of his place of registration, among others. Imprisonment for a period of 1-3 years is also prescribed for this act.
