In the presence of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the honoring of the winner of the Candidates Tournament of the International Chess Federation, Javahir Sindorov, was held.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President once again sincerely congratulated Javahir Sindorov on this historic victory. He emphasized that this is the victory of our entire nation, New Uzbekistan.
“Of course, no result will happen by itself. At the heart of this is long-term tireless work, experience gained from childhood, strong will, iron discipline, and, of course, the lessons of teachers and coaches, prayers of parents, grandparents. I would like to take this opportunity to once again express my gratitude to your grandparents, parents, teachers and coaches who brought up such an Uzbek boy,” said the head of state.

During the tournament, it was noted that Javahir Sindorov showed the strong will, self-confidence, deep thinking and patience typical of the Uzbek people on the chess board. He was especially recognized for his bravery and bravery against the super grandmasters representing India, USA, China, Netherlands, Germany and Russia.
“The head of state noted that this high achievement of Javahir Sindorov is the practical result of constant attention and care paid to the development of sports, including chess, in our country. The fact that such victorious, brave and tenacious young people are maturing in New Uzbekistan today gives us all infinite pride. In this sense, the fact that today two of the five strongest chess players in the FIDE rating are Uzbek boys indicates that the potential and prestige of our national chess school is growing. It was noted that all this will be a great motivation for thousands of our talented young people, promising chess players,” the press service of the president said.

At the ceremony, they talked about the next high goals ahead of Javahir Sindorov. Confidence was expressed that he will take part in the decisive competition for the world chess crown, and that he will once again show the potential and glory of the Uzbek chess school to the whole world. It was also noted that our people expect victory at the 46th World Chess Olympiad, which will be held in Samarkand this September.
At the event, Jawohir Sindorov was awarded with the Order of “Labour Fame” for his great services in popularizing chess in our country, especially promoting this sport among young people, cultivating national pride, love and loyalty to the Motherland in the hearts of the younger generation, as well as showing record results and winning ahead of schedule at the FIDE Candidates Tournament held in Cyprus. The Presidential Decree was read out.
