“Summary” (AKIpress) – The Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek extended the period of detention of the former head of the State Committee for National Security in Bishkek Eldar Zhakypbekov until October 15, 2026 inclusive. This was reported in court.
The decision was made on August 12 at the request of the head of the interdepartmental investigative group – the head of the Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor’s Office of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the court decision, Zhakypbekov will continue to be held in institution No. 21 (SIZO-1) of the State Penitentiary Service under the Cabinet of Ministers.
