This review was held in order to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of railways, follow up on joint projects and speed up the implementation of infrastructure projects.
According to information from the Ministry of Social Affairs to Bakhtar Information Agency; In this review, the beginning of the survey and feasibility study of the Afghan-Trans project, the submission of survey and feasibility documents of the Herat-Mazar-e-Sharif railway to Afghanistan, the construction of facilities, other warehouses and sub-lines in the area of the fourth port of the Herat-Mazar-e-Sharif railway, as well as the increase of transfers through the Herat-Mazar-e-Sharif railway were discussed.
Both sides have emphasized on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of railways, developing commercial relations, increasing the transfer of commercial goods and providing more facilities to traders and investors.
It should not be forgotten that the development of railway cooperation between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, the strengthening of mutual trust as two neighboring countries, the development of economic and regional cooperation, increasing the level of trade and transit, and also strengthening the role of Afghanistan as an important transit crossroads between Central and South Asia.
