The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wrote in a press release that during the visit, relations between Afghanistan and Russia, regional security, the fight against narcotics, and security cooperation between the two countries were discussed.
Mr. Muttaqi mentioned the positive process of political relations between Afghanistan and Russia and thanked the Russian leadership for recognizing the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
He has emphasized the importance of developing economic and trade relations, besides strengthening security cooperation and regular consultations.
Mr. Muttaqi explained that Afghanistan continues its efforts in the field of regional security and drug prevention and supports the development of relations with regional countries through direct contacts and practical cooperation.
At the same time, Mr. Shoigu said that relations between Afghanistan and Russia are developing in different areas. He mentioned the positive management of the situation in Afghanistan in terms of security and drug prevention.
The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia emphasized that political consultations and practical cooperation between the two countries will continue.
