Strategic partnerships: Alongside SIAM, Crédit Agricole du Maroc is joining forces with key partners to boost the rural economy. Financial inclusion, green mobility, agriculture… Everything you need to know about the group’s new commitments.
Crédit Agricole strengthens its partnerships at the International Agricultural Show in Morocco. The banking group has concluded several agreements on the sidelines of its participation in this high mass of the agricultural sector, the work of which continues until April 28 in Meknes. Among the agreements sealed, we note a partnership agreement relating to the deployment of a financial education program for the benefit of beneficiaries of the Padermo project in the Oriental region. Concluded with the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, this agreement is part of the implementation of the national “Green Generation” strategies and the development of rural areas and mountain areas.
Through this program, the two parties aim to strengthen the capacities of 10,000 beneficiaries in terms of financial management, particularly with regard to budget control, savings and responsible use of credit. The system provides for the organization of 400 training sessions, covering 19 territorial communes in the provinces of Oujda-Angad, Berkane, Driouch and Guercif, with particular attention paid to women and young people. Driven by an integrated approach to rural development, this program also aims to facilitate beneficiaries’ access to financial services and strengthen the economic viability of their activities, thus contributing to the sustainable improvement of living conditions in rural areas. The Banking Group also signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA (CDP), an Italian financial institution for international development cooperation. This agreement covers the financing of sustainable projects aimed at strengthening food security, particularly through agriculture and agro-industry. It also extends to other key sectors, such as renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure and natural resource management. In this context, the two institutions will explore financing solutions likely to generate a positive environmental and social impact. The agreement also provides for the promotion of networking initiatives between Moroccan and Italian companies, in order to promote partnerships, the transfer of know-how and access to new markets.
Through its subsidiaries Tamwil El Fellah and Ardi microfinance, Crédit Agricole du Maroc has signed a partnership agreement with Stellantis Morocco aimed at facilitating access to financing for the Fiat Tris, an electric micro-mobility solution dedicated to the needs of agricultural and rural populations.
