The firefighters they were mobilized this afternoon to intervene in a vegetation fire declared in French territory, in the Soulanet lake area, next to Ordino Arcalís. The body participated in the extinguishing tasks with the helicopter, which carried out several discharges of water on the focus. The warning was received at around 16:00 and, thanks to the aerial intervention, the fire was practically extinguished at around 17:30.
The participation of the Andorran body has been particularly relevant considering that France it faces several vegetation fires these days, a situation that keeps numerous French emergency services mobilized. The collaboration of the Andorran body has contributed to quickly controlling the fire recorded in the border area.
