The victim, identified as Ananis Reyes Larrosa, worked as a soldier in the communications area. “The National Army deeply regrets the murder of one of its members, Private Ananis Reyes Larrosa, member of the ‘Jura de la Constitución’ Communications Battalion No. 2, and her parents,” the institution said in a statement.
The crime occurred last Friday in the La Chancha neighborhood, when a 26-year-old National Police official He murdered his ex-partner and his ex-in-laws, and then committed suicide.

After committing the murders, the man drove his vehicle to the home of another ex-partner, with whom he had a son, said goodbye and, a few blocks away, took his own life in the car.
The case generated a strong impact within the Army, since the young woman had been part of the institution since 2024.
