Mediaworks lays off all employees of PestiSrácok as part of collective downsizing – he told 24.hu the responsible editor of the paper, Gergely Huth.
Huth said almost 20 employees will be affected by the decision, which will take effect in a month. However, according to him, this does not mean that the newspaper will cease to exist, they are negotiating with the owner so that they can continue to operate the newspaper. According to him, there is a real chance for this “with the help of readers”.
Regarding the return of the newspaper, he said that this is also being discussed, but he does not know for sure yet. “I really hope that it won’t cost more to get the paper back than we got for it ourselves”.
