The Marist Brothers Old Pupils Association hosted a successful Flag Day Luau fundraiser over the weekend in American Samoa, and Taula Beverages Samoa once again stepped up to support the community event.
Held at Lion’s Park, Tafuna, the Taula sponsored event was enjoyed by all with good food and good vibes surrounded by the Marist spirit of camaraderie.
Hundreds lined up to buy plates, and American Samoa got to enjoy the various flavours of Samoa’s locally made Taxi.

The Luau fundraiser doubled as the launch of the Marist Brothers Old Pupils Association Raffle with tickets just USD$20 each.
“Every ticket and raffle entry goes towards supporting the renovation of the St Joseph’s College hall and the MBOPA lounge – a place that’s shaped so many of us over the years..”
Hundreds lined up to support the event; to buy food and go into the draw for the raffle.
The raffle in support of the St Joseph’s College school hall, will be drawn in American Samoa, in July at a Corporate Table event.

St. Joseph’s College in Samoa was established in 1950 at Mulivai by the Marist Brothers. Recognised as Samoa’s first secondary school, the institution celebrated its 75th jubilee in 2025.

Speaking to SGN, Taula Representative Mulitalo Amosa Tupai said the fundraiser is a for a good cause and Taula is proud to work alongside MBOPA.
“Many of Samoa’s leaders in Government, in the Private Sector, in Business and Community leaders were educated at St Joe’s” said Mulitalo.
“Taula’s support for this event aligns with our values of helping the community especially youth development..”

“Taula has been in American Samoa for several years now and it has been good to connect with the community here during their flag day celebrations..”
