PARAMARIBO — Suriname is getting a new beauty pageant: Little Miss Caribbean Beauty Suriname. The initiative of Milutu Management and Enchanted Pageants focuses on girls from five to ten years old. The election is scheduled for September 2027. Registration for participation started in August. With the program, the organization not only wants to pay attention to beauty, but especially to self-confidence, talent development and social involvement.
The two organizations join forces based on a shared vision to inspire young girls to discover their talents and develop personally. According to project coordinator Chennegay Limon, the initiative arose from the belief that there is a lot of talent and potential among Surinamese youth.

More than a beauty pageant
“The idea behind Little Miss Caribbean Beauty Suriname arose from our belief that there is enormous talent and potential among Surinamese youth. Learned young is done old. That is why we want to encourage young girls at an early age to believe in themselves, discover their talents and develop into confident and socially involved young women,” says Limon.
Although a crown is part of the pageant, according to the organization, the emphasis is on more than external beauty. The motto Beauty with Purpose also focuses on character, self-confidence, personal values and the meaning that the girls can have for others.
The participants follow training and workshops for a full year and gain special experiences. They are also given the opportunity to carry out their own social project. The program focuses, among other things, on presentation skills, talent development and leadership.
Opportunity for international representation
The collaboration between Milutu Management and Enchanted Pageants stems from their shared interest in the development and education of young girls. With Little Miss Caribbean Beauty Suriname they want to offer a platform that goes further than a traditional beauty pageant.
An international opportunity also lies ahead for the eventual winner. She will have the opportunity to represent Suriname beyond its borders and showcase her talents and experiences on an international stage. With the initiative, the organizers want to invest in the development of young girls and encourage them to work on their future with confidence and a clear goal in mind. “Beauty with Purpose. Character with Confidence,” is the motto of Little Miss Caribbean Beauty Suriname.
