SAN MARINO – The San Marino Football Federation (FSGC) and the Gendarmerie Corps participated in the security activities organized on the occasion of Italy-Turkey, the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League match played on Monday 5 October at the Renato Dall’Ara stadium in Bologna.
The collaboration was born during the UEFA Safety and Security Conference in Madrid, which took place in September, and involved the FSGC, FIGC, Gendarmerie and NFIP Italy. For San Marino, three steward managers and three Gendarmerie non-commissioned officers participated, with the aim of directly observing the procedures adopted for the management of a large international event.
Marshals were present for the Gendarmerie Corps Marta Mazza, Gianluigi Conti And Gianluca Menicucci. The FSGC stewards Dominic Vincenti, Mirco Masini And Stefano Zafferani they were supported by the managers of the security sectors of the Bologna stadium.
The activity allowed the San Marino representatives to attend the organizational meeting of the match day and to follow the different phases of the management of the event: from the preparation of the accesses to the entry flows, from the management of the fans in the stands to the VIP and Media areas, up to the arrival of the teams, the outflow of the public and the activities following the match.
For the FSGC, the experience has allowed us to delve deeper into procedures and dynamics linked to major sporting events which occur less frequently in San Marino. The Federation thanked the Gendarmerie Corps, the FIGC, Bologna FC, NFIP Italy and the State Police-Police Headquarters of Bologna for their collaboration.
