Ingredients
For the dough:
270 g of flour
100 ml of milk
2 spoons of sugar
4 g of instant yeast
1 egg
35 g of butter
a pinch of dry parsley
a pinch of basil
a pinch of oregano
salt
To fill:
70 g of butter
4 cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon of dry parsley
salt
Additionally:
about 200 g of grated mozzarella
For the coating:
1 egg yolk
15 ml of milk
Preparation
Put milk, sugar and yeast in a bowl and mix. Add flour, egg, salt, parsley, basil and oregano and mix everything well with your hands or mixer until you get a smooth dough. Knead in the butter and continue kneading for another 5-6 minutes until the dough becomes elastic. Transfer it to a lightly floured surface and shape it into a ball, being careful not to add too much flour.
Return the dough to the bowl, cover and let rise until doubled in size. During this time, prepare the filling by mixing butter, finely chopped garlic, salt and parsley until you get a uniform mixture.
Divide the risen dough into 6 equal parts and shape into balls. Roll out each one, cover with the prepared filling, sprinkle with mozzarella and roll up. Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper with a space between them. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes. After that, coat them with a mixture of egg yolk and milk and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 19 to 20 minutes.
