A chaotic situation has been created with the airline company Wizz Air, as dozens of Albanian passengers have remained at Barcelona airport, unable to travel to Tirana.
Yesterday, a flight from Barcelona to Tirana was scheduled. Initially, the flight was delayed until 03:00 in the morning, but then it was canceled altogether.
Passengers were given tickets for the next flight, which was scheduled for lunch today.
But, after going to the airport and going to the boarding gate, the passengers were informed that their tickets were not valid.

Currently, the passengers have remained at the airport and, according to them, they are not receiving any answer or solution, neither from the airline nor from the Albanian authorities.
Wizz Air representatives in Barcelona have not given any concrete answer, asking passengers to contact the company’s central number. But even this communication has not been possible, since the call is managed only by an automatic system.
“We have been at the airport for two days and today, when we call the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Albanian Embassy in Spain, no one answers”, said one of the passengers to Vox News.
This Monday, the company reacted by saying that the flight was canceled due to bad weather conditions.
“Wizz Air confirms that flight W4 5153 from Tirana to Barcelona on Sunday, October 4, was canceled due to severe weather conditions in Barcelona. The safety of our passengers and crew always remains our top priority. We thank our passengers for their patience and understanding,” Wizz stated through an official announcement.
