Sant Julià de Lòria launches this fall let’s goa new musical cycle that was born with the desire to go beyond the programming of three concerts and become a meeting and growth space for the country’s artists.
The Minister of Culture of the Lauredian Community, Teresa Arenyhas remarked that the project does not respond to the usual format of a musical cycle. “It’s not a cycle of saying let’s put on three concerts, but we’ve sought to go a little further,” he explained. In this sense, the project focuses especially on young musicians and artists in the country, to whom we want to offer “an opportunity to have collaborations, to have different experiences and which is also a way to grow”, he mentioned.
One of the main axes of Entresons will precisely be the synergy between creators of different trajectories. Andorran musicians will share the stage and experiences with established artists from outside the country, such as Marc Parrott i Chico Perezas well as with emerging figures like Mar Pujol. According to Areny, the aim is for artists to “share stages, share territories, share ways of understanding music”.
The first musical show will be on Friday October 16 with the pianist and composer Chico Perez. The Andalusian will take the stage accompanied by theNational Classical Orchestra of Andorra. It is curious that Perez I had to play in it Congress Center a couple of days before the fire occurred. “We with the Chico Pérez team are working since 2022 because it was already an agreement that was made at that time that once the reconstruction of the Auditorium started, it would be a concert that we would resume”, mentioned the head of the Culture department of the municipality of Sant Julià de Lòria, Laura Rogé.
The next concert will star him Marc Parrott and the Brossa Quarteton Friday November 13. They will bring their newly released album ‘El frec i la bala’ to the parish, and the Andorrans will accompany them Louis Letters i Silent Voice. “I am very happy with the project and I am very excited to come and present it in Andorra. Also to premiere these installations, which if they are as fantastic as you sell them, will be the bomb and will be incredible. And of course to collaborate with Andorran artists in a way that is not forced”, he described parrot.
The third and final performance will take place on December 4. the singer Mar Pujolaccompanied by the Lauredian Eugenia Correiawill present in the principality his new project ‘I will not drink from this water’.
sand has vindicated the role of institutions in providing opportunities for young creators and helping them to find a place in a particularly complex sector. “We must continue to work so that these young people have the opportunity to show their art and to step on stages, which is not always easy,” he pointed out. In this sense, he considers that the administrations must “row together” and propose interpretation spaces alongside established artists, who also they can contribute to opening new doors for emerging talents. “What we are trying to do is for us to be promoters and facilitators of this”, summarized Areny, with the desire that young people have more resources and do not have to face the difficulties of an artistic career alone.
In fact, the cycle can be a showcase for these musicians from the principality. Without going too far, Marc Parrot is a music producer. A position that could generate some opportunity for some of the young people. “He is a person through whose hands many artists pass, even novice artists and much more popular artists. He may turn on a light when listening to Eugènia”, exemplified the councillor.
The programming of the new cycle will also be linked to the Theater Season. As a way of promoting the project, people who purchase tickets for the shows of the Theater season will receive a free ticket to one of the three concerts of thelet’s go. The initiative seeks to bring the theater’s regular audience closer to this new musical proposal and contribute to consolidating its attendance. If you want to buy a ticket just to go and listen to one of the three concerts, the cost will be 15 euros. Tickets can be purchased starting this Tuesday.
The new cycle will also serve to highlight the technical possibilities of the Cultural Center and of Lauredian Congressesafter its reopening. Areny emphasized that the two auditoriums now have technical equipment that allows them to tackle both small-format proposals and larger-scale shows. All concerts will be held at 8:30 p.m in the Claror auditorium, except for that of Mar Pujolwhich will take place atAuditorium Rocafort. “It’s a new piece of equipment that we really want to show and that the public can see all the possibilities it can offer,” said Rogé. The budget to organize this event is 35,000 euros.
