(KPL/Yonhap) Samsung Heavy Industries Co., a major shipyard here, said Monday it has clinched a deal worth 485 billion won (US$329 million) to build a liquid natural gas (LNG) floating storage regasification unit (FSRU).
Under the deal with an unidentified Asian client, Samsung Heavy will build the 170,000-metric-ton vessel.
The unit will be delivered by February 15, 2029, according to Samsung Heavy.
In the first four months of the year, Samsung Heavy has won deals worth $3.4 billion to build 17 ships, including two container vessels and four LNG carriers.
