The platform Let’s save the Cape has boosted one claim song against the viewpoint project, in which he denounces the impact of construction on the landscape, demands the immediate halt of the Massana municipality project and emphasizes that there are thousands of people who are against it. With the cry of “Save the Cape!”, the musical piece defends the preservation of the mountain and questions that tourist development is presented as a synonym for progress a day before the rally organized for tomorrow at 8 pm in Plaça del Quart de la Massana.
The rap-paced song kicks off with a call to “listen to the earth” stating that since from Arinsal to Pal “the voice is not sold”. The letter criticizes those in charge of the project, of whom he asserts that “they go to the office disguised as progress”and denounces that the landscape is treated as a source of income, remarking that “there are thousands of us outside and no one will shut us up”. The subject questions the contradiction between the protection of the natural environment and the construction of new infrastructures.
The platform does reference to UNESCO’s “biosphere reserve”. and criticizes that they put “cement” on the mountains and that they want to turn the natural environment “into a theme park”. The song defends that “Alt de la Capa is already a viewpoint in itself” and emphasizes that he does not need “no ridiculous hat that is of no use to anyone”.
The piece of music includes references to the Casamanya, the Padern and the Madriu where it says “the water is flowing again” and defines the Layer like a “pyramid of our territory”. A reason why they demand “immediate and moratorium stop of the project” and points out that they don’t want to be heard “pretending to pay attention” and claim one “popular consultation”.
The lyrics note that in the common room there are “ten arms raised but there are thousands of us outside and no one will shut us up” stating that the more than 4,000 signatures collected against the construction of the viewpoint “they face the power”. And they emphasize that Andorra is a “fragile miracle, if we don’t take care of it, who the hell is going to save him?” demanding the citizens of the parish of La Massana to wake up and “all Andorra standing”.
