RIMINI – A man was arrested by the State Police for having violated the ban on approaching his mother, imposed on him in the context of a case of alleged family mistreatment.
The episode occurred on Saturday 17 October, around 5.40pm, when a woman contacted the Operations Room of the Rimini Police Headquarters reporting that her son, despite the restrictive measure, had shown up at her home.
Officers from the General Prevention and Public Relief Office intervened on site, ascertained the man’s presence and proceeded with his arrest for violation of the ban on approaching the injured person, a crime provided for by article 387-bis of the Criminal Code.
The public prosecutor on duty, informed of what had happened, ordered the trial with a very direct procedure.
The presumption of innocence remains valid towards the suspect until a possible final conviction.
