RICCIONE – Over a kilogram of hashish was seized by the Traffic Police on the evening of September 30, at the end of a chase along the Adriatica state road.
During a surveillance service, the officers of the Riccione Traffic Police Subsection ordered a car with two people on board to stop. The driver, instead of stopping, accelerated trying to escape control.
The chase ended in Riccione, inside an agricultural field. The two occupants abandoned the vehicle and managed to disappear on foot through the fields.
The officers then checked the car, finding over a kilogram of hashish packaged in blocks, already prepared for sale, as well as a mobile phone. The investigations also revealed that the car used by the two subjects was the subject of embezzlement.
COISP Rimini expressed its thanks to the officers of the Riccione Traffic Police, underlining “their great commitment and sacrifice” and professionalism, despite the human resources available being defined as limited.
