The Consulate General of the Sultanate of Oman has urged all Omani citizens residing in Mumbai to exercise extreme caution due to the heavy rainfall currently affecting the city, which may lead to water accumulation, traffic congestion, and disruptions or delays in some transportation services.
The Consulate called upon Omani citizens to adhere to the following guidelines, including avoiding travel unless necessary, following weather forecasts and alerts issued by local authorities, complying with their instructions, staying away from low-lying areas, wadis, and floodplains, and not attempting to cross roads or areas flooded with water.
It also urged citizens to plan their travel, taking into account the possibility of transportation delays or road closures.
The Consulate also emphasized the importance of contacting it when needed or in emergencies.
