Today, Monday, June 22, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Chamber, received a delegation from the Republic of Finland, which included His Excellency Mr. Juha Mustonen, Ambassador of Finland to the State of Qatar, Mr. Axel Hagelstam, Deputy Director General for International Relations and Analysis at the National Emergency Supplies Agency, and Mr. Petri Korvala, Secretary General of the Security Committee, along with representatives of a number of Finnish companies.
The meeting was attended by Mrs. Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani, member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Health Committee.
The visit came within the framework of enhancing economic and trade cooperation between the two friendly countries in a wide range of sectors, including civil industries, cooperation between the private sector, advanced industries, innovation, medical technology, artificial intelligence, waste management, and education. During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the proposal to organize a Qatari-Finnish business forum in Qatar.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim praised the distinguished relations between Qatar and Finland, stressing the State of Qatar’s keenness to provide an attractive investment environment and promising opportunities for Finnish companies and investors, in order to achieve common interests and support the continued growth of bilateral trade and investments.
