President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, revealed on Wednesday evening the opening of a direct air line between the airports of Algeria and the German capital, Berlin, before the end of the current year.
This came during a meeting held by President Tebboune with representatives of the Algerian community in Germany, at the beginning of an official visit he is making to the country.
The President of the Republic embarked on a two-day official visit to Germany. At the invitation of his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
During this visit, the Algerian President will hold “conversations with his German counterpart and with Chancellor Friedrich Merz, about:
- Strengthening historical ties between Algeria and Germany,
- And explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields of common interest.”
It is also held on the sidelines visit, An Algerian-German economic forum, in the presence of officials, businessmen and investors from both countries.
The forum is expected to culminate in the announcement of a strategic partnership between the two countries and the signing of more than 30 agreements in many fields.
