The Eucharistic celebrations will be held in Chiclayo, Santa Cruz de Succhabamba, Pucallpa and Lima, reported Monsignor Guillermo Incasecretary general of the Peruvian Episcopal Conference (CEP) and national coordinator of the pontiff’s visit.
The first mass is scheduled for Friday, November 13, at 10:30 amon the esplanade located in front of the Pampas de Pimentel, in Chiclayo. According to Inca, attendance of more than a million people is expected.
The space will allow it to receive faithful from Chiclayo and other provinces of Lambayeque, as well as from different areas of the north and the mountains.
The presence of Leo XIV in Chiclayo will have a particular meaning due to the link that Robert Prevost maintains with the region. The current pontiff was bishop of Chiclayo between 2014 and 2023 and during those years he developed various pastoral activities in communities in the area.
Prevost first arrived in northern Peru in 1985, when he moved to Chulucanas from Chicago. Later he remained in Trujillo between 1988 and 1999, where he served as judicial vicar of the Archdiocese and professor of the seminary.
The second Eucharistic celebration will take place on Saturday, November 14, at 11 amon the esplanade of Santa Cruz de Succhabamba, also in Lambayeque.
Monsignor Guillermo Inca pointed out that this activity is part of the pontiff’s approach to the populations of remote areas of the country.
The mass will allow the participation of faithful from that area of Lambayeque and other nearby towns during the pontiff’s day.

The fourth and last mass of the visit will be held on Monday, November 16, at 10:30 amin the Las Palmas Air Basein Surco.
The national coordinator of the visit estimated that the celebration could bring together at least 1.2 million people. The day will also have the presence of the image of the Lord of Miracles.
The Las Palmas Air Base will receive a pontiff for the second time for a massive celebration. In January 2018, the Pope Francis He celebrated a mass there during his visit to Peru.
