In the galleries of Gamarracreativity once again took center stage. The clothing makers prepared designs that show Pope Leo XIV along with characteristic elements of Peru, such as ceviche or the traditional Chiclayano hat. There are also garments related to the cities that will be part of the tour and models aimed at fans of different football clubs.

Among the products that attract the most attention are the so-called “Papa Polos”. According to merchants, there are around 38 different designs and prices range from 10 soles for wholesale to 20 soles, depending on the quality of the cotton. Some models even show the pontiff wearing the t-shirts of Alianza Lima, Universitario, Sporting Cristal, Sport Boys, Cienciano and Juan Aurich.
But the offer does not stop at clothing. In the Historic Center of Lima, paintings, calendars, key chains, pins, cards and vehicle hangers with images of Pope Leo XIV are also sold. In front of the convent of The NazarenesFor example, paintings start at 10 soles and calendars start at 5 soles.

The commercial fever also reached the Santa Monica prisonwhere inmates participate in the handmade production of stuffed animals with the figure of the pontiff. Meanwhile, Lima entrepreneurs are preparing new batches in anticipation of greater demand as the visit approaches, scheduled for November and which includes activities in different cities of the country.
