The ‘podium war’ that started after the absolute nullity decision in CHP was paused this week. The parliamentary group meeting conflict between Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was appointed by court decision, and CHP leader Özgür Özel, brought the two sides face to face. This week, both sides made preparations but then backed down. His special team gave up holding meetings, saying, “There is no softening, but Group meetings should not be areas of internal conflict.”

Kılıçdaroğlu team announced that “it was decided not to hold a group meeting” in order to prevent the formation of tensions.

    NO GROUP VICE PRESIDENT

The fact that the Deputy Chairman of the Group who would manage the Group was not appointed among the Members of Parliament who supported Kılıçdaroğlu and that the MPs who supported him would reject the appointment and cast a vote of no confidence played a role in Kılıçdaroğlu’s postponement of the Group.

The Headquarters plans to hold a group meeting after the appointment of two group deputy chairmen, whose seats became vacant because they were disciplined, and the appointment of the group chairperson, as Kılıçdaroğlu is not a member of parliament.

However, the Group Chairman and Group Deputy Chairman must be elected. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir emphasized that group deputy chairmen cannot be determined by ‘appointment’, they can be elected. Regarding those who were referred to discipline, Emir said, “Our friends will return. Everyone should make their calculations accordingly.” Emir said, “We are not in a dialogue on this issue, there is no basis for compromise. Our group meetings should not be an area of internal conflict, they should be an area of struggle between the nation and the palace, there is no softening. “The CHP will not be allowed to conduct operations in the palace,” he said. Asked about the decision to hold a group meeting, Özel said, “Murat Bey’s statement is the joint decision of our group.”

    SIGNATURES ARE ON WEDNESDAY

On the other hand, the signatures of around 900 delegates collected by the Özgür Özel team for the extraordinary congress of CHP will be given to the Headquarters tomorrow.

ÖZEL’S AND WOMEN’S BRANCHES’ SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS WERE CLOSED

It was revealed that CHP leader Özgür Özel’s “Özgür Özel İletişim” account on the social media platform Instagram was closed. In the post made from Özel’s official account on the X platform, it was announced that a new Instagram account was opened. CHP Women’s Branch also made an announcement on its
