Ministry of Education and Science is vigorously implementing education reforms, and the number of companies involved in dual education has already exceeded the projected goal of 700 companies by December 2026. Currently, more than 800 companies are included in the system – said the minister Vesna Janevska.
She emphasized that companies recognize the benefit of participating in creating personnel according to their own needs, while students get the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge directly with employers, reported MIA.
Janevska spoke at an event on the occasion of awarding a grant of 500,000 euros for “Goce Delchev” University in Stipthe school “Kocho Racin” Secondary School from Saint Nicholas and three companies.
According to her, the number of students in dual classes grows every year. 66 percent of high school students are enrolled in vocational education, and about 30 percent of them are part of dual education.
The minister announced that the concept will be extended to higher education through the new Law on Higher Education, which will enable practical teaching in certain areas to be implemented as a dual education under the mentorship of experts from the real sector and universities.
With the support of the governments of Germany and Switzerlandthrough Regional Fund for Challengesthe project “Smart training in the processing of milk and meat products” will be implemented.
Within the framework of the project, a modern training center for milk and meat processing will be built and equipped, curricula and materials will be developed, and the qualifications of milk processor and meat and meat product processor will be supported.
