Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman is closely monitoring the latest developments in the Red Sea, underscoring the importance of avoiding escalation of any actions that could further aggravate the situation or jeopardise freedom of navigation.
In a statement, Oman stressed the need to preserve regional stability and ensure the security of vital international maritime routes amid growing tensions in the area.
The Sultanate of Oman also said it is continuing its coordination efforts with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni parties and the United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen to resume the political process and advance the agreed roadmap aimed at achieving lasting peace, security and stability in Yemen and the wider region.
Oman reaffirmed its longstanding commitment to dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the most effective means of resolving regional crises and promoting peace and stability.
