This authority will not negate any of the Council’s duties according to the Laws on Combating Terrorist Financing approved in 2014 and Paragraph 2 of Article One of the Law on the Accession of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the International Convention on Combating the Financing of Terrorism.
The granting of these powers was done in the form of adding an article to the executive regulations of financial measures against terrorists and was announced by the Council of Ministers on May 6, 1404.
