Ulaanbaatar,
April 8, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The
7th Mongolian Student Sports Festival, held every two years, officially opened
on April 7, 2026, in Ulaanbaatar.
At
the opening ceremony, President of the Mongolian Student Sports Federation
Bayasgalan Danzandorj highlighted the significance of the event, noting that it
plays a key role in advancing student sports at both national and international
levels. He added that athletes selected from this festival will be prepared and
entered to compete in the upcoming Winter and Summer Universiade.
A total of
2,461 athletes from 31 universities are competing in the final stage across 14
sports disciplines. The festival will conclude on May 8, with medalists already
determined in cross-country skiing, table tennis, and taekwondo.
