Ulaanbaatar,
April 13, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The “New Era of Mongol Studies-VI” international
research conference will take place on April 16-17.
A total of 153 scholars and researchers will
participate both in person and online. Specifically, academics
from over 30 universities and 17 research institutes from Mongolia, China, the United States,
Russia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and Hungary have registered to participate.
The conference
will cover a wide range of topics such as Mongolian linguistics, literary studies, information
communication, archaeological, historical, and cultural studies of the Great
Mongol Empire, and political, social, and cultural developments in Mongolia.
The School of Mongolian
Studies under the Mongolian State University of Education (MSUE) annually organized
the conference under the name “International Mongolian Studies Conference” between
2004 and 2010. However, since 2011, the School of Social Sciences and Humanities,
together with the Mongol Studies Institute, has been biennially organizing the conference
under the name “New Era of Mongol Studies”. Thus, the conference
has now grown into a large event where scholars and researchers from Mongolia,
China, Russia, Canada, the U.S., India, Japan, South Korea, and Hungary present
their new research results.
