He Home Office opened a job call to cover 648 agent and temporary agent positions in the police executive sub-echelon, destined for different units throughout the national territory.
How many positions are there and how much do you earn?
The call provides for the incorporation of troops based on the needs of the service throughout the country.
- Number of charges: 648 vacancies
- Nominal salary upon entry: $63,927 (as of January 2026)
- Hourly load: 48 hours per week
- Remuneration during training: equivalent to a national minimum wage
The tasks will be linked to the maintenance of public order, crime prevention and other police functions.
Requirements to apply
The call is aimed at people who meet a series of general conditions:
- have between 18 and 35 years at the close of registration
- Be a natural or legal citizen with at least five years of practice
- Count on complete basic cycle (Secondary or UTU)
- Have a civic credential and have voted in the last elections
- Present a certificate of judicial record and prove good conduct
- Have physical and medical fitness
Quotas and affirmative actions
The contest includes specific quotas for certain groups:
- 8% for people of African descent (52 positions)
- 1% for trans people (6 positions)
- 2% for victims of violent crimes (13 counts)
What is the selection process like?
The entry process includes several qualifying and scoring stages:
- Requirements control
- Physical and cultural tests
- Medical and psychological evaluation
- Personal interview
The final order will be defined by score, without a total minimum, and priority lists will be generated by areas of the country.

The call will be valid until May 10, 2026 and registrations will be made exclusively through this link from Uruguay Concursa. Registration is exclusively online and each applicant must choose one of the seven zones into which the country is divided to compete.
The ministry indicated that all information will be considered sworn statement and that communications about the process will be made through the official website and the email address declared by the applicant.
The priority list will be valid for up to one year, during which period applicants may be called according to available vacancies.
