The macabre count of the dead from the mega police operation against the infiltrations of the Red Command in the Penha and Alemão complexes was still continuing, perhaps the most violent in the history of Rio de Janeiro (122 bodies, according to official figures; “a success”, declared governor Cláudio Castro), when Lia Rodrigues debuted in Brazil the final chapter of the trilogy that she dedicated to the mythologies of her country: an ever-growing continuum that took her, and her company based in the heart of Favela da Maré, from Fury (2018) a Enchanted (2021) and finally, as if forcing the collision of this yin and from that yangor the synthesis between thesis and antithesis, to the piece that now arrives in Portugal.
