The goal rush continued in the Barbados Football Association’s Kotex Women’s League, at the BFA Technical Centre on Monday.
Playing in the evening’s lone encounter, Mavericks blanked Police 8-0, having led 2-0 at half time.
Felicia Jarvis led the way with four goals. She found the back of the net in the 78th and 82nd minutes, before adding a penalty in the 84th and her final goal in injury time.
Gabrielle Birmingham opened the scoring for Mavericks in the 7th minute, before Makela Alleyne made it 2-0 in the 44th.
Terena Clarke added the third goal in the 49th minute, before three quick goals from Jarvis made the result beyond doubt.
Alleyene then added her second goal in the 85th minute, while Jarvis completed the rout in the 90th.
That result saw Mavericks topping the table on goal difference from Paradise, who have a game in hand.
Having played four games, Mavericks have so far amassed nine points with a goal difference of 12, while unbeaten Paradise have played three games for their nine points, but have a goal difference of six.
Fresh from their 8-1 victory over Whitehall on Saturday, Empire are third on six points, with RF Prime and Technique fourth and fifth respectively, also on six points.
Sixth-placed FVFC Femini, seventh-placed Whitehall and eighth-placed Police have all yet to register a point.
