The spokesman of the ministry, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, has written on his X-page that the United States Embassy in Islamabad attributing the origin of artificial drugs to Afghanistan, which according to the embassy has been prevented from being smuggled to Sri Lanka by the joint efforts of the United States and Pakistan, is a baseless and politically motivated accusation.
According to him, the production, trafficking and use of all types of drugs in the country is absolutely banned by the Islamic Emirate, but on the contrary, after the ban in Afghanistan, the cultivation, production and trafficking of drugs has increased on a large scale on the other side of the hypothetical Durand Line.
He added that in addition to the ban on drugs, Afghanistan does not have the ability to produce synthetic drugs, and the transit points of the hypothetical Durand Line have been completely closed to any movement for almost a year.
Mr. Balkhi explained that the Islamic Emirate is calling on the United States Embassy in Islamabad to find the origin of the seized drugs in the host country and not to use them as a propaganda tool for others.
