In a quick intervention, agents of the National Police captured in flagrante delicto Ofelia María Vásquez Forgas36 years old, accused of the crimes of aggravated family abuse and damages to the detriment of her ex-partner.
The incident occurred on Saturday at the intersection of 8th Street, in front of the 17 de Septiembre neighborhood, after a heated discussion between the two at a nearby gas station, according to the police report.
According to preliminary investigations, after the verbal altercation, the man left the scene aboard his motorcycle. However, the woman allegedly followed him in a red Mazda passenger vehicle.
Upon reaching him in the aforementioned sector, Vásquez Forgas would have deliberately rammed the motorcyclist, causing injuries and material damage.
The attack was recorded by a security camera installed in the area. The images, which are part of the evidence collected by the Public Ministry, show the moment the vehicle hits the victim.
After receiving the alert, police officers went to the scene and proceeded to capture the suspect, who was subsequently referred to the prosecutor’s office on duty to continue with the corresponding judicial process.
