Havana and Tehran, a dangerous couple

Havana and Tehran, a dangerous couple

Miami/Everything seems to indicate that the highest officials of the United States Government have come to the conclusion that coexistence with Castro’s totalitarianism is impossible, assuming that it is unavoidable to place the predator, disguised as a perpetual victim, in his rightful place.

Is Washington preparing public opinion for military action against Castroism?

It is true that the relations between Washington and Havana since the arrival of the Castros to power have been chaotic and with very difficult periods, which paradoxically, in my opinion, have ended with publicity advantages for the Island, to the detriment of the powerful neighbor trapped by its own strength.

The Cuba of the Castros has been very skillful in presenting itself as the martyred lamb, a story that many Americans have believed for years and even during the last visits of elected officials, who criticized their Government for putting pressure on the dictatorship, not the regime for repressing the population and imposing an internal blockade that has plunged citizens into extreme misery.

I confess that I watched with great satisfaction the debate at the United Nations between Ambassador Michael Waltz and the tie-wearing henchman of Castroism Bruno Rodríguez, who tried without success to neutralize Waltz with his usual diatribes. Furthermore, I am extremely pleased to see how Ambassador Mike Hammer, chargé d’affaires of this country in Cuba, is a defender of the Cuban democratic cause, a sentiment that he expresses publicly.

The Cuba of the Castros has been very clever in presenting itself as the martyred lamb, a story that many Americans have believed.

On the other hand, and although the statements of the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, that the Cuban regime contributes to the development of left-wing extremist groups is not new, the tone in which he expressed it was as if his Government was not going to continue tolerating the destructive machinations of the Castros.

There is much information that demonstrates that Cuba served the USSR with devotion due to the shared hatred against the United States, a true nutrient of insular totalitarianism.

Mentioning Iran and Cuba, demonstrating that both countries are colluding in the mission of supporting left-wing extremists, leads us to remember the close and deep ties between Havana and Tehran, relationships that have only sought over the years, since 1979, to manage the strengthening of both regimes, along with the mutual willingness to destroy democracies and all forms of life in freedom.

The Islamic Republic of Iran joined the farce of the Non-Aligned Movement, a global organization that was very useful to the defunct Soviet Union when that entity was under the undisputed leadership of Fidel Castro.

The ayatollahs realized that Castro was their equal, they shared a deep hatred towards those they called the Great Satan, coveting the same thing: “the death of America”, a slogan that the first supreme leader of Iran, Ruhollah Khomeini, used widely in the initial days of the revolt that brought him to power, something similar to what Fidel wrote in a letter to Celia Sánchez in which he pointed out that his future and true enemy was going to be the United States.

The ayatollahs realized that Castro was their equal, they shared a deep hatred towards those they called the Great Satan, coveting the same thing: “the death of America.”

The first ally of the Islamic revolution in this hemisphere was Fidel Castro, immediately both despotisms that should have been mortal enemies if they had really been honest in their philosophical proposals, found common political and ideological areas in which to promote their true interests: power and its expansion.

The Iranian executioners, like Fidel Castro and his acolytes, in my opinion, have never acted based on religious doctrines or ideologies, they are fundamentalists of power, subjects obsessed with control and authority, a condition that explains the close collaboration between the proposals of Castroism and what the ayatollahs promulgate, antagonistic formulas, although the opportunists strive to make them compatible.

Castro resorted to Marxist formulas because it provided him with a proposal for vindication and a vital alliance with a great power willing to provide him with resources and an always necessary rearguard. The ayatollahs, regardless of their religious beliefs, make pacts with their natural enemies out of shared hatred.

The mission of the masters of Tehran and Havana will never cease to be the destruction of what this country represents. In May 2001, during a lecture at the University of Tehran, Fidel Castro said: “Iran and Cuba, in mutual cooperation, can bring the United States to its knees.”. A threat that he always tried to fulfill.
