Meghan started her unofficial royal visit to Australia with a familiar designer and finished with a familiar silhouette.
On day one, she wore a dress by Karen Gee to visit the Royal Melbourne Children’s Hospital, the same designer who dressed the duchess for her first official royal appearance in Australia in 2018.
For her final appearance at this rugby in Sydney tonight, Meghan finished wrapped in a trench coat, worn over a black turtleneck. It would be a full-circle moment if the coat was the same one she wore over Karen Gee’s dress in 2018, by Paris-based, Melbourne-born designer Martin Grant. Unfortunately, unlike Grant’s creation, this coat has cuff straps and is closer in style to a traditional Burberry piece.
Meghan watched the game seated between Prince Harry and her close friend, Canadian Soho House executive Markus Anderson. It has been reported that Anderson, who is working on establishing a Soho House in Sydney, was instrumental in organising private getaways for Meghan and Harry early in their relationship. Between her husband, close friend and trench coat, Meghan looked sufficiently cosy
