Taha: The Crown Prince Award reflects the importance of youth initiatives in serving society

The efforts of His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, continue to support distinguished youth initiatives in the districts of Karak Governorate and various governorates of the Kingdom, in a way that enhances the presence of young people as active partners in the development process, and transforms their energies into influential projects that contribute to creating real and sustainable change in society.

In a national station that reflects the presence of influential youth initiatives, the Crown Prince’s initiatives continue to consolidate the approach to empowering youth in remote areas, where ideas turn into inspiring success stories that reflect advanced societal awareness and a real will to make a positive impact.

In this context, youth activist Nagham Al-Mawajda reached the advanced stage among the top ten in the “Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Volunteer Work,” in an achievement that confirms the status of volunteer work based on experience and awareness, and highlights the role of youth in leading societal change.

Speaking to Al-Rai, Al-Mawajda expressed her thanks and appreciation for this trust, stressing that reaching this advanced stage represents a great honor and a double responsibility, as it highlights the arrival of the voice of her national initiative to high-profile platforms that embrace youth issues and support their efforts to bring about change. She considered this achievement to be an incentive to continue working and expand in disseminating the initiative’s message on a larger scale.

She explained that her “Rhythm of Life” initiative was born from a painful personal experience during which she lost one of her eyes as a result of being hit by a stray bullet. This incident turned into a starting point for a charitable awareness initiative aimed at spreading a culture of public safety and reducing the phenomenon of firing bullets at events, weddings, and high school graduations, due to the frequent injuries and human tragedies it causes.

She stressed that hearing about any new incident brings back to her the details of what she lived and suffered, and increases her determination to confront this phenomenon and not surrender to it, noting that the Crown Prince’s support for her youth initiatives was not new, as he was present in previous stages and accompanied various youth initiatives, due to His Highness’s belief in the role of youth and their ability to bring about positive change in society.

She explained that being among the top ten in the award is a great feeling that strengthens her will to continue and gives her initiative greater momentum.

In the Southern Jordan Valley, another model emerged that reflects the impact of this support, as educator Moayed Al-Maghasaba, coordinator of the “Southern Jordan Valley Volunteers” initiative, won third place in the Crown Prince Award for Volunteer Work, in recognition of the efforts of the volunteer team and their activities, which painted a distinctive national picture and imprinted a clear societal imprint. They contributed to expanding the umbrella of volunteer work and its programs in the Southern Jordan Valley District to move beyond its narrow scope towards goals that Al-Maghassaba described as “comprehensive and complementary” to the role of youth and their presence in the country. A map of work and achievement in their community and country.

Speaking to $, Al-Maghasebah confirmed that honoring their national and community initiative, which works within limited capabilities and with the support of the Jordan Valley community and its institutions, especially educational ones, comes out of concern and care from the Crown Prince and His Highness’s continued keenness to support the youth and their presence on the map of national work and achievement.

He believed that this honor constitutes an incentive that will push the initiative and its participants, who number more than 300 young men and women from various areas of the Jordan Valley, to continue their efforts and make it a stepping stone towards more giving and achievement through which the people of the Jordan Valley will devote their love and appreciation to their country, their leader, and his trustworthy Crown Prince.

He explained that the vision of the initiative focuses on advancing volunteer work and expanding the umbrella of simple activities and traditional campaigns towards effective contribution in overcoming obstacles and providing a contribution to meeting needs and spreading awareness and education, especially among youth, children and women, stressing that this was the beginning from which Jordan Valley volunteers launched their volunteer initiative that included all towns and regions of the Jordan Valley and began to witness an expansion with its participants of different ages and social and cultural levels.

He pointed out that the increase in the number of participants in the initiative from the female sector and the increasing demand to take their role in the work and programs gave the initiative a social dimension and a state of positive transformation in the role of women and their presence in the towns and regions of the Jordan Valley.

Al-Maghasibah reviewed the most prominent programs and activities on which the initiative was based, including supporting students and their families in improving their level of achievement and education by creating centers to give them free lessons, taking into account the difficult living conditions, in various academic subjects undertaken by university students or graduates on a voluntary basis within specific days and hours, interspersed with entertainment programs for students to motivate them to participate in this program, which the number of students this year exceeded 500 male and female students.

He explained that programs and entertainment days are also being implemented for children in recreational facilities and parks in various towns in the Jordan Valley, during which purposeful awareness and educational messages are sent by the participating team. The initiative is also carrying out support campaigns for schools in the Jordan Valley areas, including painting classrooms and walls and making educationally and culturally purposeful drawings and murals, in addition to contributing to equipping educational resource rooms and kindergartens to provide educational services within the desired safe educational environment.

Al-Maghasebah stressed that the achievement of honoring the Jordan Valley Volunteers Initiative “is not considered an honor for the initiative, those responsible for it, and its participants; Rather, it goes beyond that to be an appreciation and care for the efforts of the people of the Jordan Valley and all its institutions,” which stood by the initiative and contributed to providing the support required of it so that the team achieves its goal of being an integral part of national giving and the process of volunteer work.

At Mutah University, a third model of this excellence was embodied, as the “Volunteer Fun Day” initiative of the College of Sports Sciences achieved a new national achievement by winning third place in the Kingdom in the Crown Prince Award for Volunteer Work in its third session in the category of volunteer teams and initiatives, after a wide competition among hundreds of youth initiatives from various governorates.

The initiative continues its giving for the eighth year in a row, as it is considered one of the pioneering initiatives that aims to provide psychological and social support to multiple societal groups through voluntary sports and recreational activities. During its years, it targeted orphaned children, people with disabilities, and children in remote areas, with the aim of integrating them, motivating them, and bringing joy to their hearts under the supervision of an elite group of students from the College of Sports Sciences.

This achievement was the culmination of a procession of continuous efforts led by the initiative’s supervisor, Dr. Manal Taha, and with the support of the College of Mathematical Sciences, which contributed to providing the necessary environment to develop the initiative and expand its societal impact.

For her part, Dr. Manal Taha said that this victory is the result of many years of work during which the students believed in the importance of community service and participated enthusiastically and responsibly in implementing the initiative’s activities, noting that the personal honor from the Crown Prince reflects the importance of youth initiatives and gives the team great motivation to continue and expand the scope of the initiative.
