The Electoral Office of Dominica has announced the start of printing new voter identification cards, marking another step in the modernization of the country’s electoral system.
According to a press release from the Electoral Office, the cards will be printed by constituency to ensure an organized and efficient distribution process. The approach follows the structure of the confirmed electors’ lists, which are prepared and maintained on a constituency basis.
The introduction of the Voter Identification Card is a requirement under the House of Assembly Elections Act, 2025 and represents the final stage of the ongoing Voter Confirmation process.
The Office said that it “recognizes the anticipation surrounding the issuance of the new Voter Identification Cards and sincerely appreciates the patience and cooperation of the public throughout the Confirmation process.”
As printing progresses, the Office said it will provide updates on when cards become available for collection in each constituency. Distribution will take place through designated Voter Confirmation Centers across the island, and members of the public are being encouraged to follow official announcements for collection dates specific to their constituency.
The Office added that it remains committed to ensuring that every confirmed elector, as well as every newly registered elector, receives a Voter Identification Card in keeping with the requirements of the law.

The Electoral Office said it will continue implementing all aspects of the Voter Confirmation Programme with “diligence, transparency, and strict adherence to the governing legislation,” with the goal of supporting the democratic process and serving the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
