An 80-year-old pastor was attacked and robbed at his home in Biscayne Village early Saturday. Reports are that four masked men allegedly posed as police officers to gain entry.
Dennis Slusher told police he was asleep when loud banging at his front door woke him between 2am and 3am. According to police, Slusher then heard someone aggressively shout, “Open the door, it’s the Police.”
The back door was then forced open and four men, all masked and dressed in dark clothing, entered the residence. Two were armed with firearms.
Slusher reported that one of the armed men struck him on the right side of his head. He said the men demanded the keys to two vehicles, a silver 2024 Toyota Hilux and a silver 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser, which were taken from the residence.
The Toyota Hilux bears licence plate BCC-79836, while the Toyota Land Cruiser bears licence plate BCC-84437.
Two mobile phones and a 19-inch TCL television were also items stolen.
Police have issued a notice asking the public to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicles. Anyone who sees either vehicle is asked to call 911, 207-2222, or visit the nearest police station.
