Maulvi Mohammad Qasim Amiri, head of mines and petroleum of Panjsher, told Bakhtar Agency that in the first six months of this year, 221 mines, including biroj, green garnet and emerald, have been registered and legal mining licenses have been distributed for each of them.
According to him, with the registration of eight new mines and the issuance of legal licenses for extraction, the number of registered mines has increased to 229 in the first six months of this year.
He added that these eight new emerald mines have been registered in Kamar Spin, Siah Halo, Gulno, Nasharak Qalat, Takhta and Tob Habal areas of Hasa I district.
According to the information of the said department, currently about 750 mines have been registered in this province, of which nearly 300 mines are being legally mined.
It is worth noting that the registration and legalization of mines, along with the effective use and management of mineral resources, provides a basis for more effective monitoring of the extraction process.
