Durmishi: 16 dairies have completely stopped production after the Government’s decisions

Gani Durmishi from the Dairy Industry Association, at EURO in T7, said that this industry is on the verge of collapse due to the recent decisions taken by the Ministry of Agriculture.
He has shown that on October 21 he addressed an urgent request letter to Minister Armend Muja and the head of the Food and Veterinary Agency, Venera Qerkini, requesting the undertaking of urgent steps and the withdrawal of earlier decisions, which, according to him, are leading to the closure of 16 dairies across the country.
“These 16 dairies worked and produced milk and other products, which covered over 40% of the needs of the local market. Our goal was to, with our own investments and subsidies that we received earlier, replace imports with quality local production.
Today we have bans from our institutions to produce and market vegetable oil products, while the market is filled with imported vegetable oil products. How is it possible for them to crack their products
