Following an exchange of bombings between the US Army and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, coinciding with the faltering negotiations between Tehran and Washington, Iran denounced the new US strikes carried out at night on radars and surveillance sites on the coast of the Gulf, describing them as a “flagrant violation of the ceasefire.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that this constitutes a “military attack on the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” and described the behavior of the United States as “aggressive and provocative,” while indicating at the same time that Washington does not intend to calm down.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced that it had targeted “enemy bases” in the Gulf, according to state television, after US forces announced that they had struck radar sites in Iran, where it stated in a statement that “enemy bases in the region were subjected to air missile strikes.”
