The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) is taking its destination and festival promotion to St. Kitts and Nevis from August 21–26, with activities aimed at encouraging regional travel to Dominica.
A DDA press release said the campaign will spotlight the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF), scheduled for October 23–25, 2026, and Mas Domnik, Dominica’s Carnival, which culminates February 8–9, 2027.
According to the DDA, the programme includes participation in an American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) event, public pop-ups, a Dominica Destination Cocktail, and radio and television interviews.
The release said that the public activities begin August 21 with events at No Rush Bar in Basseterre from 6–7 PM, Chill Bar in Nevis from 8:30–9:30 PM, and Vibes Beach Bar & Grill in Frigate Bay from midnight–1 AM. Patrons can meet the Dominica team, learn about travel to the Nature Island, and enter opportunities to win WCMF tickets.
Entertainment will include Benji of TK International and St. Kitts and Nevis DJ Tero, both scheduled for WCMF 2026. They will also perform at the Destination Cocktail on August 24 from 7–9 PM at St. Kitts Marriott Resort.
The invitation-only event will bring together travel advisers, tour operators, media, influencers and tourism partners.
DDA representatives Wendy Lake, Monelle Alexis, Kareem Guiste and Wayne Benjamin will participate.
WCMF’s lineup includes NE-YO, Machel Montano, Uncle Waffles, Maxi Priest, TK International and DJ Tero. The promotion will also highlight Mas Domnik’s music, costumes, pageantry, traditional characters and street celebrations.
The DDA said the campaign is part of its wider effort to strengthen regional tourism relationships and build demand for Dominica.
