/ Organization of the event / LATEA Theater.
New York/The LATEA theater in New York presents Cuba Hurts (Cuba hurts), a proposal that combines visual arts, music and live performances to reflect on the Cuban reality and the wounds that affect the island’s society.
The exhibition brings together works by the artist Eveline Martínez, whose visual proposal constitutes the axis of an evening that will also feature performances by Amy Naranjo and Fabio López. Under the premise that, when words are silenced, painting can express the truth, the meeting vindicates art as a vehicle of denunciation and testimony.
The initiative takes place at LATEA, a cultural space in the Lower East Side of Manhattan that, since 1984, has promoted theater and other artistic manifestations of the Latino community.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the show will begin at 7:00 pm. General admission costs $15.
