LATEST – SAN MARINO – In the conclusions of process on the so-called CIS galaxy, in today’s hearing before the Judge Isabella Pasini, the State Attorney’s Office, representing the Most Excellent Chamber defended by lawyers Simona Ugolini And Sabrina Bernardisupported the defendants’ liability for criminal conspiracy, with the exceptions of Marco Mularoni And Raffaele Mazzeo for which the investigation was deemed insufficient to prove responsibility.
The state attorney’s office retraced through the fine crimes, the other elements considered indicative of the association agreement and the relationships between the various defendants, each with their own function, the agreements with the then representatives of the Central Bank and the conduct relating to the management of Carisp and the operation on Asset Banca. The 146 messages retraced and in some cases quoted verbatim are indicative, to trace the contacts of the then CBSM leaders with Francesco Confuorti. According to the Lawyer’s Office, the association’s activity would have caused damage to the entire San Marino banking system, as well as compromising the image and reputation of the State.
The Chamber therefore asked to declare the criminal liability of the defendants and, based on this, compensation for pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages to be paid in civil proceedings except for a provisional amount of no less than 12 million euros. For the charge relating to money laundering contested only by some, the Lawyer’s Office also supported the responsibility of the defendants, requesting compensation to be paid in civil proceedings in this case too.
