USM Capital’s competitor in the second preliminary round announced its withdrawal from the African Confederation Cup.
Al-Ittihad’s competitor, the Guinean Panthers Club, issued a statement announcing its withdrawal from the competition due to the financial hardship it is suffering from.
With the withdrawal of the Guinean club, the USM Capital team will be the first to qualify for the CAF Cup group stage.
Before the Guinean Panthers club announced its withdrawal, USMA was scheduled to host its rival, back and forth, at the July 5 stadium, after the African Union approved the request of the “Al-Ittihad” administration.
