Peskov said that the Kremlin welcomes Putin’s American invitation to the G20

Central Asia (CA) – Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin welcomes the US decision to invite Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit in Miami.
“We have heard the corresponding invitation, we are grateful to the American side for this invitation, we welcome this invitation, and we will decide and further work on the topic through diplomatic channels,” Peskov told Interfax.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on September 23 that Washington has invited Putin to the G20 summit, which will be held on December 14-15 in Miami. In his opinion, this will be an opportunity for the Russian President “to communicate not only with the President (of the United States), but also with world leaders.”
Bloomberg, citing sources, previously wrote that Putin is going to go to China for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, but will miss the G20 summit.
