The church of Sant Serni, in Canillowas filled yesterday by pay tribute a Monsignor Ramon on the occasion of 60 years since his first mass in the parish. Faithful, authorities and neighbors wanted to recognize a trajectory that has left its mark on both the religious and social life of the country, especially through the creation ofAINA and of its constant commitment to the community.

Bishop Ramon he focused the speech on the values that have marked his entire life. “I came to Canillo to learn. Humility is what leads you to learn“, he affirmed, recalling his beginnings in the parish. He also explained that for years he visited the houses of the neighbors to get to know them personally and defended that “there is no greater person than the one whokneel before the Father“. In closing, he wanted to summarize six decades of service with a simple message of thanks: “Thank you all”, after assuring that he feels lucky “to have served this city” and claiming values such as humility, nature and service to others.

The senior consul of Canillo, Jordi Alcobé, defined the day as “a day of joy” for the entire parish and assured that it is rare that you have the opportunity to live with “a person from a novel, a reference person of a parish and of a country”. During his parliament he recalled that the July 3, 1966 priest Ramon celebrated his first mass in Canilloa destination that initially “was almost a punishment”, but which six decades later has become the place where “the church is full of people who love you”. With a touch of humor, he added that “even the sparrow that hangs around here wanted to see the party”.
