    One month to connect all sectors to the digital services portal

    On Sunday, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, issued instructions to the Council of Ministers that included paying the travel allowance, estimated at 750 euros, by bank card only.

    This decision comes, according to meeting statement, After recording “serious violations that caused the bleeding of hard currency, without those concerned benefiting from the right to exchange money in order to travel abroad.”

    “It was decided, temporarily, that it would be obtained (the right to exchange) via a bank card. It would not be given in cash to limit the recorded violations,” the source added.

    The Bank of Algeria reminds us of the prohibition of “any transfer” to the destination of using the amount of the right of exchange in order to travel abroad

    Regarding the National Digital Services Portal, the President of the Republic set a period of one month as a maximum, to achieve sectoral interconnection, by exploiting the National Data Center. In order to expand digital services for the benefit of citizens.

    President Tebboune stressed the need to redouble efforts to increase the pace of digital services. “Especially with the great demand and success recorded when the National Data Center entered service.”

    “A twinning agreement between the American city of Tipaza and Kansas City”

    In the tourism sector, President Tebboune assigned the Minister of State, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministers of Interior and Sports to prepare for the signing of a twinning agreement between the American cities of Tipaza and Kansas City.

    This initiative will be “in recognition of the warm reception received by the official delegation and Algerian supporters during the 2026 World Cup, and in appreciation of the status of Algerian-American relations.”

    Regarding developing the ecosystem for emerging enterprises, the President of the Republic appreciated all the initiatives led by Algeria in this field. “This has made the Algerian experience pioneering and reliable, and is receiving increasing attention from African countries.”

    In the same context, the President stressed that “the Algerian model in creating and developing emerging institutions is today the subject of African and international interest, as it creates economic dynamism and preserves the effective sovereignty of our youth and their institutions.”

    Full statement of the Cabinet meeting:

    Today, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers, which dealt with presentations, including the areas of exploiting the national portal for digital services, following up on the implementation of the cooperation agreements concluded with the two sister countries, Niger and Chad, and developing the ecosystem for emerging enterprises, in addition to a presentation on the tourist season.

    Regarding the areas of exploitation of the National Digital Services Portal:

    • The President of the Republic has set a maximum period of one month to achieve full sector connectivity that will facilitate the exploitation of digital services for the benefit of citizens.
    • Mr. President stressed the need to redouble efforts to raise the pace of digital services, especially with the great interest and success recorded in the entry of the National Data Center into service.

    Following up on the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements concluded with the sisterly countries of Niger and Chad:

    • The President of the Republic stressed the utmost importance that Algeria attaches to developing the various projects agreed upon to be implemented as soon as possible, especially in the field of electric energy production, for the benefit of the citizens of the two brotherly countries.
    • Mr. President explained that this keenness stems from a common will to cooperate in establishing a solid economic base that contributes to creating strong development and real investments that serve the common interests of Algeria, Niger, Chad and the region as a whole, with an integrated vision.
    • The President assigned the Minister of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs to supervise a sectoral committee, which is responsible for monitoring progress in the field to implement the various cooperation projects agreed upon with the two sister countries within the specified deadlines.

    Regarding a presentation about the tourism grant:

    • In view of the serious violations that caused the loss of hard currency, without those concerned benefiting from the travel grant, it was temporarily decided that it would be obtained through a bank card, and not in cash, in order to limit the recorded violations.

    Regarding a presentation on developing the ecosystem for startups:

    • The President of the Republic appreciated all the initiatives led by Algeria in the field of emerging enterprises, which made the Algerian experience pioneering and reliable, and receiving increasing attention from African countries.
    • Mr. President ordered to continue supporting the positive dynamics and successes achieved in this field, while working in the future to involve the private sector in financing emerging enterprise projects, especially in the most in-demand fields.
    • Mr. President stressed that the Algerian model of creating and developing emerging institutions is today a subject of African and international interest, as it creates economic dynamism and preserves the effective sovereignty of our youth and their institutions.

    About the tourist season:

    • The President of the Republic commissioned the Minister of Tourism to prepare a complete and effective plan of action related to the development of Algerian tourism and encouraging domestic tourism, for the benefit of the Algerian family, especially coastal tourism, with a focus on training and specialization in the field of tourism: whether coastal, mountainous or desert, especially with Algeria adopting in recent years many facilities, the most important of which is the possibility of obtaining a visa directly after arriving at the airports in our south, without any obstacles.
    • The President of the Republic directed the need to exploit all the tourism potentials that our country abounds through coordination and cooperation, which contributes to marketing the image of diversity and civilizational and cultural richness of Algeria.
    • The President of the Republic also assigned the Minister of State, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministers of the Interior and Sports to prepare for the signing of a twinning agreement between the American cities of Tipaza and Kansas City, in recognition of the warm reception given to the official delegation and Algerian supporters, during the 2026 World Cup, and in appreciation of the status of Algerian-American relations.
